On May 13th, Matt Cutts announced in a video posted to YouTube that the ‘next generation’ of Google Penguin will launch within the next few weeks. For those not familiar with the update, Penguin is a filter that blocks low quality links passing search value. It launched in April 2012 and has been updated numerous times to help crack down on search spam; well the next generation is coming soon, and few details have been mentioned as to what ‘next generation’ might mean – but we’ve got a few ideas…
