Cynics will assume this is merely a pr measure following recent scrutiny into the search giants tax affairs, but charities won’t be complaining.
Yesterday Google announced its nonprofits programme, which not only gives charities £10,000 in adwords credit, but also offers complete access to the Google App range.
The programme will be particularly welcomed by small charities, for whom IT and marketing can represent a substantial chunk of their overheads. If you’re registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales, then you can sign up now at google.com/nonprofits.
